Paleolithic Nutrition

What causes most diets to fail? Paleolithic Nutrition advocates would say that two answers that come into consideration immediately are lack of results and simple hunger. Face it. If you don't see immediate results, your tendency is to stop the diet and try something else. And if you are hungry, what are you most likely to do? You're going to pig out. It's as plain and simple as that. What can you do to fix this situation? You can give a new diet a try, often called the paleolithic nutrition diet.

There are various forms of the paleolithic nutrition diet, and the least relaxed version of it tells you not to eat dairy, beans, potatoes, or grains. These restrictions are there primarily because these foods did not exist in an easy to get format when we were roaming the wilderness 10,000 years ago. We did not yet cultivate food, figure out how to rise dough and make bread, or even how to cook. So, what are you restricted to eating on this paleo diet? The choices are fresh fruit, vegetables, seafood, meat, seeds, nuts, and eggs. Think hunter and gatherer. If you cannot kill it or pick it from a bush or dig it from inside the ground, you don't eat it. Apparently, the paleolithic nutrition diet incorporates the thinking, that it makes us have more harmony with our body.

What if you are not up to the strict paleolithic nutrition diet? Don't worry. Try just committing to a single paleo meal a day. Then, as you get more in tune with it, do two meals, and finally do all paleo meals. If you ease yourself into it, it won't be as hard as doing it cold turkey. If you're going to do a single paleo meal each day, try making it dinner and have meat or fish plus a couple of vegetables. Remember that potatoes don't count as a vegetable, so having carrots or broccoli would be more in tune with the diet. Because this diet automatically limits your intake of refined carbs, you're going to be feeling fuller and the fullness is going to last longer. Paleolithic nutrition is also going to keep your insulin levels at a good place.

A simple paleo diet can get you to lose fat quickly, and after only a few weeks, you should start seeing some serious weight loss. Plus, with the paleolithic nutrition diet, you're going to experience increased energy and you won't get hungry as often as on a regular diet.
